Default 2022 Order

I am thinking about ordering a new F-150 Platinum if the one I'm trying to get falls through. Do you guys think I should just wait for the 2022 orders to start? I'd assume that would be pretty soon. Since the orders are taking so long it may be better that way?

Do you know how long you are going to live? Order when you want and hope it arrives ASAP whenever that will be

Order's won't open for 2022 until late July, with builds starting in October/November. But waiting on a 2022 won't fix the wait issue magically, it's not a problem with '21s or something. All you would be doing is moving out when you start waiting and possibly dealing with price increases.

You got that right.

While commodity price remained stable because of 2020 contracts, Ford is now expecting to see prices on aluminum, steel and precious metals increase by about $2.5 billion, Farley said. "So that's going to hit us as we go through the rest of the year."

I would wait and order a 22---give them time to work out more electrical bugs and TSB's
