Looking for some opinions on Undercoating my new 2021 F150. The truck didnt come with the spray in liner so I was planning on getting a LineX spray in. I saw they also offer undercoatings and was wondering if it was worth it? I have a powerboost and I know theres a ton of wires and modules down there and didnt want to potentially damage anything or interfere with future routine maintenance. I also live in the north east where snow and salt is very common so I figured it would be beneficial to protect my investment.

Has anyone else had their truck undercoated? Would you recommend it?

I don't go full undercoat like LineX or what not. I just used Fluid Film or products like that once a year. Does a fine job of keep the underside free of corrosion. I put the truck on a lift, put on a painter's suit with respirator and eye protection and cover everything and inject it inside the chassis as well. Good enough for a pickup truck. I also had the paint ceramic coated.

 

I have used Line-X undercoating on my last three F150s including my 2021 King Ranch PowerBoost. Never had an issue with any and undercoated my wife's 2019 Escape too.

Can I ask what undercoating runs and do they have a warranty of any sort?

 

$199 and never had an issue through 5 years so not sure about warranty.
