Default 2021 powerboost

It looks like a diy oil change in your driveway/garage is going to be a pain with these trucks.

It's not too bad. Use a pan. The first time you need to take the filter off it will be a bitch. I'd recommend a oil filter wrench that fits on the end. After that it should be ok.

Curious if the skid plates would help protect the pipe that is on the front of the frame?

Looked under mine. If you hit that hose from the front, you will have already destroyed the front air dam and hitting that cross member straight on will cause the truck to either destroy whatever you hit or come to a very quick stop. Of course if you have something flip up and hit that hose, sure it is possible but hitting from underneath will more than likely just cause that plastic tie point to break and allow the hose to flex up out of the way. Anything coming straight up from underneath is going to hit something unless you get lucky and hit the frame or a cross member. Not really a big an issue in my opinion. As noted in the video if worried just relocate the tie point upwards assuming the hose has enough flex that it doesn't put pressure on the quick disconnect fitting on the passenger end of the hose.
