Default 2021 PowerBoost

Anybody know what cab/bed configurations the new PowerBoost engine will be available in?

I was concerned it was only going to be offered on the crew cab. The order guide that leaked has it labeled as O-3. O means optional and 3 means crew cab. I’m not sure what it really means off this. Other websites also say it will only be available in the crew cab as well.

Is that correct? From the Order Guide - I could only find it available for the SuperCrew configuration. I am very keen on it and am really disappointed that SuperCab/PowerBoost combination is not available. Am I reading it wrong? If so, can you please provide info that suggest otherwise?

Thank you!

PS: Attached a snippet from Order Guide for Lariat. The PowerBoost option is listed as O-3 (3 being SuperCrew).

I read it the same way. I wonder if it is because they need the extra length for room for the extra hybrid parts?

The pic is the hybrid in a screw. Maybe you just can't put 10# of crap into a 5# sack?

SCABs get no love. It's too bad Ford can't re-engineer the rear doors to a forward hinged style like everyone else except....Nissan.

A LOT of potential SCAB buyers balk at those suicide style rear doors.

Before you pine for those small "normal" opening doors in GM (double cab) and Dodge (quad cab), go try to get in the back seat in one of those trucks. Unless you are well under 6 foot, you have to fold your legs up into your chin, or slide your self into the middle seat and then pull your legs in. The B pillar that the rear door hangs from causes all kinds of entry/egress issues for non-children.

Appreciate it. The point, however, is that PowerBoost does not appear to be available in SuperCab configuration. And, what started the thread was Kmit's question about the available configurations and DarrinT04's message suggesting that it is available across the board. Unfortunately, that's doesn't appear to be true. it is a disappointment for those of us who would like to buy it that way.

I wasn't responding to the original poster. I specifically quoted a post by Hctr154 referencing SuperCab door configuration VS. the competition in my reply.
