Default 2021 power boost drive failure errors

Spoiler

Went out to dinner with and on the way home stopped for a few minutes. When I restarted the truck I received all sorts of drivetrain and service engine soon errors. I drove the truck the last 5 miles home, everything seemed fine except it didn’t switch to electric drive as it normally does on the last half mile. Will be calling the dealer tomorrow! See photos for list of faults.

I also received an error saying that onboard pro power was unavailable.

I went through that last year. But for me it wouldn't even start. Then it would "fix itself" temporarily. Took 4 months to finally have it finally fail at the dealership. Ended up swapping the entire drive unit which is located between the engine and trans. Took them a week to do the R&R

Hello! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd like to look into this error message concern. Thank you!

I called the dealership this morning and they said to send it in but it would be a week and a half before they can even look at it. They are short staffed… The tow truck got here and I couldn’t even get the truck to start so I could put it in neutral.

just curious how has your truck performed since the repair? This is the second time I have had to send this truck to Ford on a rollback. I am seriously considering switching brands. I have driven Ford for 30 years but this one has really left me feeling disappointed.

Default Status update

The dealership has had the truck for nearly two weeks and they have not been able to identify the issue with my truck. I was checking status daily until the service rep quit responding to my texts. I contacted Ford customer service yesterday and opens a case with them. I am yet to hear anything back from customer service or the dealership. I will continue to provide updates as they come available.

This is what I see in MyFord app after the initial errors showed up….

I was feeling the same and probably would have swapped the truck for a non-Powerboost had we not been in the middle of covid shutdown with zero trucks on the lots. Anyway, since the drive unit replacement the truck has been fine and now I plan on holding on to it for another year or two.

My Powerboost did the same thing. I pulled into work in the morning and it asked me to download the latest and greatest update. I hit yes and went into work. Later on after work I got all kinds of error codes, the little wrench and the check engine light.

I could still drive it normal, but it was in power reduced mode. I also could not set the adaptive cruise or lane centering.

I brought it in to my dealer and figured that the latest download is what triggered everything off. Seems funny that about 5 different things triggered all at the same time. All I wanted them to do was just clear the check engine light and I would be on my way. About two hours later I seen the mechanic trying to wrench on the passenger side turbo. I was not happy. They didn't have the part (turbo blow off valve motor), so I had to bring it back in two days later. It sat in the shop the entire day and they couldn't get to it (Friday), so they had me come in and pick it up, so I could drive it over the weekend. I told them to just clear the check engine light and I will pick it up. He said, "sure, but it'll come right back on". I've driven it for two weeks now and the truck runs perfect. No codes or anything.

Default The saga continues

So the dealership has had my truck three weeks today. Last week I filed a complaint with Ford customer service. They responded this week that they have submitted a ticket for their engineers to work with the. Dealership. They do not seem to have a clue what is wrong, if they do they have not shared any details.
