Default 2021 Car Play question. Lost some functionality.

On my 2018 F150, I was able to use CarPlay map interactively (search for destinations, zoom, change views, mark speed traps, etc.). With my 2021, it seems that all I can do is move the map around. How do I access more functionality? In fact, the screen will only show the overall route and turn-by-turn. Never zooms in or shows lanes, etc.

There's also an issue with CarPlay in my 2021 with audio skipping/cutting out. AFAIK, Sync4 doesn't get very frequent updates. Seems like it's long overdue for some patches/updates!

I use Apple Maps via carplay frequently and I'm able to do almost everything you mentioned (I'm not sure what "change views" means specifically). I know there is an icon that appears at the top-right of the map that will toggle between your entire route and the zoomed-in guided view. In the latter view, I am able to pan the map in any direction, however, it doesn't offer the zoom or multi-axis panning like the Sync 4 map screens. I also came from a 2018, and I don't recall this limitation being any different in that truck. While I have an active route, the view does zoom in/out depending on the situation - for example, when approaching a turn or stop it will zoom in, and when cruising at highway speed it offers a more zoomed out view, but this is automatic for me and nothing I initiate using the screen. As you likely know, the Apple nav's exit guidance appears in the form of arrows representing available and suggested lanes (unlike the exit sign graphic that appears when using Sync).

Perhaps there are some settings you can play with on the maps app using your phone?
