Any speculation as to why there are there HIGH and LOW wires for each EIWE? The four wires are

FDBK (Feedback, expect this to be and engagement sensor)
HIGH (4H?)
LOW (4L?)
RTN (Return for the wires above)

As I research why my truck is making the terrible noise it is, not to mention tearing the CV boot....I found this which I thought was very interesting to read and learn how it works. https://uspto.report/patent/app/20200094675

Update since this was brought up:

Over at 4X4 System differences | F150gen14.com -- 2021+ Ford F-150, Lightning EV, Raptor Forum (14th Gen), a member followed the vacuum line from the EIWE and found it was not connected to anything, just stuck up above the upper spring perch, and capped. He did not look, but it's probably a vented cap.

To summarize, the EIWE is electrically controlled, cam operated. No sign of being direct electromagnet action, just a motor that spins a cam to engage/disengage. Four wires, sensor, ground, and hi/low, no idea on the hi/low yet.... Two engagement pressures? Bi-Directional motor?

And a vent line for the internal space of the EIWE.

I believe it's a servo and that is indeed a capped vent line for the movement of the IWE, i think there is a sensor for confirming IWE position too.

I have this suspected issue after installing a leveling kit. Dealer service writer doesn’t want to listen to me and said that they’re just going to let the “Big Ford Engineers” get back to them on the issue. He told me that they’re going to tear the transmission down, but I don’t want them doing that until IWE is looked at. They admittedly haven’t even hooked up the computer to the trucks system to read codes and it’s been 3 days

I want to take my truck to another dealer that is bigger and has a better reputation. If I take it and drive it in 4A, will I have any issues?

I'm not up to speed on the new system, other than knowing the actuators/IWEs are different. If you're not happy with that dealer, I'd go elsewhere too.
Just what is your truck doing?

Ok, so I pulled out into traffic and throttled to about 4K rpm and a loud thud came from underneath me and truck immediately said service vehicle soon and a grinding noise started. I pulled into a parking lot and when I stopped, the gear level placed itself into park. The grinding followed the speed of the vehicle.

Once I turned the truck back on and did a slow drive around the lot, it wasn’t present again until the next day. Disappeared in 4H.

Doesn't sound good at all. If it was the olde vacuum system, first thing I'd do would be to look at a vacuum loss. With the new, the grinding you heard, still sounds like an engagement issue. I'm still learning what you have, but I thought the system saw what position your IWEs were in. Think I'd get it into a dealer soon.
If you would, when it is worked on, could you give a detailed explanation of what they find? I'm pretty limited as to finding how this system works.

Yeah, I’ve got it at the dealer right now, but they aren’t giving me the time of day when I’m asking them to check the IWE. I called the pets department myself and was told that all parts for the IWE are on national back order with no ETA.
