Here is part of an email conversation I had with Ken about custom tuning my 2018.
Here is what Whipple released for the 2018 Dual Injection 5.0

Even though boost will read lower with the long tubes, you’re still flowing the same CFM of air, your just doing it more efficiently. That helps, in terms of keeping things safe, but cylinder pressures will still be very high for 93 octane, in my experience. If E85 isn’t an option you can use Torco or Boostane, or even unleded race gas. Either way, more octane is needed to keep things safe.

20% OD is worth just over 5psi.
Long tubes with cats drops boost .5-1.0psi.
Long tubes with no cats drops boost 1.0-1.5psi.
Many other factors can vary boost +/- 1psi.

Anyone know if the Kooks green cats actually work with regards to keeping the 02 sensors in check? I'm in a smog county and don't want to deal with cheating the rear 02 sensors, but don't want to drop on the money on the green cats if they don't work. There are no friendly inspection stations in my area either .
I was personally thinking a shorty header with the MAK catless y-pipe that could be switched back to stock y-pipe for smog time. I'm really just concerned about the stock cats melting down.

The stock cats will last longer then aftermarket.
I have had 2 sets of greens and no check engine lights, Kooks says 90% chance of no CEL.
Your mileage may very.

I had Kooks coated headers on my Lightning and I have to say the quality and materials of these OBX headers are real close.

I have ran four different Whipple cals and only know that at the time they were the latest and the date that they sent them to me. Whipple needs to identify each cal revision with a version so that was you know what cal you are running.

They only flash forward with the tomahawk.
You can't flash and old version after flashing a newer one.
(unless you have a back up read with hptuners)

Correct but it would be easier for someone to verify that they were running the latest version if they could reference a version number.
