I currently have a SCTX4 and use it to upload tunes. If I wanted to upgrade to a different device, can I just download all the tunes from my laptop to the new tuner and carry on? Or is there more to it than that?

 

I believe the tunes are written to that individual device you would probably just need to get a hold of your tuner and provide the new serial number of your device. Sorry if this is misinformation lol.

 

You will need to have the tunes updated to the serial number of the new device. Word of warning however, the newer SCT devices are not that great and do not add any useful features over the X4, and actually remove the ability to tune more than one vehicle.
