Default Track rant

Made it out to my local track last night gateway international speedway. This was the 2nd time this year that basically the same thing happened. I was there 4 plus hours and got one run in, and the run I got was less than stellar. I ran just a few cars after they cleaned an oil mess at the end of the track left by some 80's junker camaro, but I only ran a 12.6 @ 112, traction control kicked in right at about 100 mph, RIGHT WHERE THE OIL SPILL WAS! Took time to eat a hot dog and review the log just to get back in line and wait for hours through multiple accidents. I love these anyone can race type test and tunes, they're fun but they literally do nothing for tech inspections. I just hand the guy my card and he signs it. No clue I'm running nitrous. He did ask me how my ecoboost tows (I have a coyote that says coyote on it lol) I'm sure I sound like a Whiney sweetheart but I've had this date circled for 6 week. Just bummed out.

I feel your pain, I've had tomorrow circled for a while now, and it's looking like weather will nix that..

Looking at the log traction control kicked in at the top of 3rd, it shifted to 4th, then shifted to 5th right away and then 6th before my run was over. Throttle never closed and I never lost spark either.

This is usually my experience, that's why I went yesterday but the damn junkers just kept breaking on the track.

It's like that at Bradenton. But add in that they don't do ANY prep to the box on test and tune nights. The guys just stand around. No sweeping the box, no water in the box. So people driving thru sand and crap just track it on into the box and at the line. It's ridiculous. You pay like $30-40 to get in and race, maybe get 2 runs in, bad launches because the box is trash......not worth it anymore. Cheaper to get a few guys together and rent the track out.

Safer too.
No tech-inspection equals coolant and oil down the track that nobody catches until somebody(hopefully not you) backs into a wall because of it
