SCT X4 or Livewire TS+
My 1999 f150 has a seized engine and has been pulled. On the new engine i am going to make it easy on myself and free up spark plug access by not installing the EGR and DPFE valves. I will also not be installing cats as it will be cheaper to just run an "offroad" y-pipe from the long tube headers I will be getting.
I will be ordering custom tunes from VMP tuning.
My question is in regards to which of the SCT tools I should buy. The custom tunes are $200 and adding the SCT X4 will only be $300 (as opposed to $400 standalone). The lowest I can find the TS+ for is $500 NOT including the tunes. I will also be using the device as a gauge database.
Is the TS+ touchscreen interface worth the additional price? I do not have a backup camera if that is a factor.
