Rear diff ratio questions
Checked with the dealer today to see what a few upgrades would cost and while I was there I inquired about what gear ratio I have and according to my Vin # it's a 3:15 ratio. My truck is a RCSB with the 5.0 2wd.
Although putting a Whipple or Roush supercharger would be nice I can't drop the 10k to do something like that. Seeing how I've got such a highway gear in my truck I'm wondering if swapping those out to 3:55 would be a good "happy medium" for performance. If I do that I might as well put some type of limited slip (whatever the mustang uses from what little I have read here) as well. I'm not looking to take it to the strip often or show up every vehicle that wants to run them but more performance is better. This is my daily driver about 65 miles a day so I think that is something to consider as well.
What are your thoughts on this type of upgrade?

The 10 speed has 8-9-10 over-driven ratios, a 3.73 is not over-geared at all and will make a change you can feel. With 31.5 inch tall tires you will turn about1600 RPM in 10 at 55+MPH 2000 at 70+MPH. KM
