Default Performance Tune - ECU Engine Counters

I want to get a performance tune from 5 Star. I've already been speaking with them but I have a couple of concerns in regards to warranty being voided.
Main reasons for the tune is of course all the obvious, throttle response, better shift points, possibly better mileage, etc etc, but also to remove the speed limiter because passing a rig doing 80 on a 2 lane road in texas I need that.
My concern is I found a dealership that voided a warranty on an F150 w/ 40k miles because the Engine Start counter was only at 32. In my investigation I found that the counters are stored im the NVRAM which means that standard ODB scanners will not delete this data and neither will disconnecting the battery until the system is discharged.
1. Is there a program I can load on my laptop that allows me read and write access so I can log the counters and and modify them when I go back to stock if there is a warranty issue.
2. Has anyone heard of a dealership voiding a warranty because of engine start counter or any other counters being low based on mileage.

5 Star is assuring me that it won't be an issue and won't void my warranty. My biggest concern is the 120k warranty I have being voided if my turbos go out as the are know to do around the 100k mark.

Any and all knowledge on this is appreciated.

in my time in the parts business full time and even part time, i can count on one hand the amount of 3.5 turbos i have sold. Even less on the 2.7

That being said, if you have any concern about the warranty being voided, I wouldn't chance it. The ford dealer forums do have a few instances of it happening due to a tune, but they have to do some digging if they suspect modification to the computer

Well, I've had a 2016, and 2020, on both trucks the driver side turbos started failing just after 100k. Most of the mileage was highway mileage when I had my business and was driving a lot on the daily. So I dumped them and got new trucks because it was also a write off. Now I'm between 12 and 15k a year so I probably won't have any issues until I'm passed the years not mileage on my warranty.

As a CYA if I can find a program that has read/write capabilities for the ECU then they will never know.
