Default Opinions on Toyo Proxes

Is anyone using the toyo proxes? I'm looking at 20" tires for '18 5.0 2wd 3.31 rear gear..... Looking for any opinions on them good or bad. How well they hook up. How well they last. etc. etc.

I'm thinking I'll run 315/35R20 @12.4" wide on the rear and 275/40R20 @ 10.9" on front both of which are aprox. 2" shorter than stock. I hope that doesn't open the fenderwell gap too much, truck will get the factory lowering kit which I think is a 1/2 drop....anyone know the max backspace I can get away with on the rear?

I have 295/45/20 on it now with a 4/5 drop on factory wheels. It had 305/50/20 at stock height they looked great but witht the drop installed they rubbed the lower control arm at full lock.

How wide are your factory rims? My xlt has 18" x 8" rims and I can't get a wide enough tire on them or I'd keep them. I'm thinking 20"x 11" on the rear and 20"x9.5" on the front....just not sure of the right backspacing for the rear. I want the extra width to the inside if I can get away with it.

Yea that's a little taller than I want plus they're 7lbs heavier than the 315/35's and 11lbs heavier than the 275/40's.... I'm all about reducing unsprung weight and I have a 3.13 rear gear and don't want the gearing any taller than it already is. I'mjust hoping the fender well gap doesn't look too goofy with only a 1"/2" drop.

Yeah I doubt with my 3.55's and Omega tune I will notice. Also weight is dependent on tire manufacturers, not just size. One brands 305/50/20 may not weigh the same as another brands of the same size.

That’s one reason I run Pirelli Scorpion Zero’s. Roughly 6lbs lighted per tire that others in the same size.
