were you using the tuner only to datalog, or did you also have the laptop attached?

After updating the firmware on the x4, I can only log now with the laptop attached, for some reason.

Laptop was attached. Everything was hooked up. I had the tuner connected to the truck and also to the laptop. But when I open LiveLink and ty to open the file from my tuner, it won’t open. It acts like it doesn’t recognize the file format.

I'm not sure what that would be. When I first got the x4 there was an issue with loading tunes because there was an issue with the serial number on the device not matching up. Theres a couple of members that are really good at the sct stuff and can probably help you figure it out. You may have to talk to your tuner though for a final resolution. I know you're talking about a configuration file so that may be something different all together. BadCon or Tx-ripper or woot692 can no doubt help you figure it out.
