What?: VP Racing Octanium
When?: When at the drag strip for extra security against detonation and to maintain maximum timing for best performance.
Why?: Octanium is available locally at Autozone, and is effective with a heavy dose of MMT (and other stuff) that raises 10 gallons of gas 8 whole octane numbers (so 93 to 101). Be careful with Octanium though, it is not cat or o2 sensor safe. VP Racing makes an "unleaded" version of Octanium which allegedly is cat/sensor safe, but only raises 10 gallons of gas by 7 numbers, but that isn't local.

I reached out to my tuner reference a track only tune, and for that I plan on using the whole can with 10 gallons. As it is now I don't mix full strength as my tune is based on 93.

No, that can I had at the track was Octanium. I have used Royal Purple Max Boost before, but never Boostane. Where do you get it?

Tested all of them on a supercharged mustang and an all motor 18+ mustang running 93 octane.

Boostane pro: works well and is supposedly safe for cat and O2
VP Octanium: works just as well but is leaded and is not safe for cat or O2 (there's an unleaded version but it isn't as effective)
Torco Accelerator: same as VP octanium, leaded octane booster that is around the safe effectiveness
They're all available on amazon, but VP octanium can be purchased at autozone so it makes it a pretty good option if you just wanna try it out.

Every one of the leaded products mentioned above will stain the spark plugs orange so that's how you know you were using it, it leaves a residue.

letting the mustang add timing it went from only running 22-23 degrees of timing on 93 (all motor mustang) up to 28-30 degrees no problem. Supercharged one went from only wanting to run 14-15 degrees of timing to 18-20.

All of these products work exceptionally well. If you're going to the track to run hard, put the stuff in ON THE WAY TO THE TRACK. If you put it in at the track you will not get it mixed into the actual fuel until most probably well after you leave the track, making it useless.

I ordered a case of boostane pro straight from the manufacturer. First time buyer from their sight it was $148 for 6 x 32oz bottles. Regular price was $165 which works out to $27.50 a can.

Locally i I bought it at the place I had all the work done, Maximum Velocity.

It it was recommended as its supposed to be the only one of the bunch where all the ingredients stay in suspension. That's just me repeating what I've been told, I don't have any proof.

the stuff stays in suspension as long as light doesn't hit it anyways, it's inconsequential.
