Default Launch Suggestions for 1/4 ets

Heading to my track after work for test and tune weds englishtown nj

Anyone have suggestion for best ETs?

I see some are suggesting 4x4 and some power brake to spool the TTs.
This is a new-ish truck and my DD so not looking to trash it so looking for safer launch options and havent been at the track since my S/C'd tacoma days so should be nice to be on the track again.

I'll dont like to display what has been done but I do like to tinker a bit so looking for some times to see where I am at!!! and as my son would say "hey dad lets see what this thing can do"

Thanks in advance
Mark

You're probably going to want to use 4x4 and at least a mild break-stand to make the think jump off the line. Boost is what makes them go, so if you want to go, you need boost. Try it doing that, and try easing in on the pedal to transfer weight in 2wd.

But we all know what's going to give the best 60', don't we...

Thanks for the reply the guys on the other forum were saying the same or sim

4x4
Trac off
Some said sport some say not so depending on how many runs i get i may do a little of both.
And do shift or let the truck do it.
Thanks

I have the identical power train in a super crew, you have a good amount of torque management that is really going to hold you back out of the hole ....I used to drag race my twin turbod Ram and this ecoboost isn’t even close to how I could launch the Ram ,I easily cut 1.65 60 ft times with it ,the Ecoboost feels like it could do it but the computers software says it ain’t happening...

Best of 3 was
1.88 for 60ft

Paddling and bumped the rev with that as well
If i let it shift it was 13.6 and 13.7 only 3 runs but i gues i am good with that for now

his 60' times make all the difference.

press and release the traction control button, then press and hold until RSC OFF shows up on the data display.

4hi, press/hold brakes, press accelerator as much as you can without overpowering the brakes.....then launch. Sport mode for the transmission. Because the 3.5eb hp drops like a rock in upper rpm, sport mode shifts to keep it in the optimal powerband.
