Stock tune only peaked at about 5250 rpm, boss manifold only peaked at about 6100rpm, boss with long tubes peaked at about 6100 rpm also.

Depends what you are aiming for. I have a 2016 with the better breathing via similar to mustang cams, and supposedly better log manifolds. I swapped on the 2018 intake manifold, after a ton of reading, and the mustang manifolds are all trade-offs, but the 2018 manifold is VERY good, dyno's similar to a cobra jet on a the 2018's with more torque, so it must be excellent. I lost a bit of midrange, in fact, when I mat it, it lights up the tires, pauses between 3-4K rpm, and peels the tires all the way into the 1-2 shift at 7300ish. So I'd say I'm slower to 60 mph, except I swapped to a smaller tire to match the powerband shift upwards. The reason for the swap is I also run a nitrous shot, otherwise I wouldn't have swapped. The basic jist of what the manifold did was shift the power higher in the rev range, allowing the engine to breath well enough to take the nitrous above 5K rpm, and the launch torque is "adjustable" via my nitrous controller.

For a 2013, some mustang or aftermarket cams are a must IMO to accompany an intake swap. Depending on what your goals are, I'd recommend a 100 shot of nitrous, it should put you low 13's, maybe 13 flat.

nitrous and cams likely won't happen because my truck is my DD and I don't plan to race it, just like more power for playing with it.

Cams are just too big of a job. I know they're cheap but I'm not capable of getting them in correctly in a weekend.

No!!! that's not what i was saying haha, ****. I was saying it won't continue to make power at higher rpms but it will absolutely hold that power it does make and not just nosedive like the stock manifold!!

Boss manifold will shift peak power no matter what, that's how intake manifold work, they move torque around.

I was saying skip cams and just do nitrous. Cheap / easy, and shut if off and you have a stock / uncompromised truck. Barely costs more that a cai and a tune.

Put some 4.10's in there my man. That was the upgrade without a doubt that made my truck more fun to drive. The intake manifold swap will make your truck less fun to drive the vast majority of the time.

That's on my list. I just have to find the time to do it.

I think I need to buy another vehicle to play with so I'll quit messing with my DD.
