ID Motorsports tunes
Order the SCT BDX tuner on Friday from ID motorsports as well as their E85/Flex Fuel tune. Anybody have this tune? Looking forward to getting it next week and getting it loaded in the Coyote. Man does it love E85!

I do not have their E85 tune, but Matt tuned my Roush supercharged truck into the mid 11's on 93 octane. He's super easy to deal with and is very prompt with his emails and tune revisions.

Well that's good to hear. The guys on American Trucks speak very highly of ID motorsports and Matt. So I'm pretty confident I will enjoy their tunes and be much happier as well as my truck on their E85 corn fuel.

I thought the E85 tunes were for vehicles that were not already FlexFuel so that they could run E85? I could be wrong as I am not experienced with tunes but I remember reading that while doing my research for buying my first tuner.

The E85/flex fuel tune could be used for trucks that are currently not flex fuel. Or like in my instance where I want more power and it’s already flex fuel compatible. I don’t use high octane regular gas because it’s usually close to $1 more per gallon. I have E85 readily available at almost every station. So I burn it almost exclusively. But-i wanted more power and not having to re-tune it every time I switch back to regular gas. Should be here Monday do can’t wait to get my custom tune next week! I will report back once I get it loaded in.

Just remember, (it's in the manual of all flex fuel vehicles) make sure to run a tank of regular e10 gasoline through once a month or every couple of months. Even on a flex fuel vehicles there can be issues for components that are constantly in e85.

Got my tune loaded in on Monday. Man what a difference does it make. The throttle tip-in, shifting, and just fun factor are soo much better. Wish I would've done this a while back! I will say.....dead-stop launches are hard to achieve without smoking the tires though. 4WD is pretty much mandatory if you want to "race" another truck/car at a red light.
