Thanks everyone for the help and useful information. I am going to go ahead and get the Whipple when Black Friday comes around and in the mean time i am going to get a set of long tube headers and off-road y-pipes. Would love to have the ability to switch between tunes on E85 and 93 octane.

The whipple cal is 50 state, meaning you pretty much need cats.

Yep...for no cats and switching between fuels you’ll need a custom tune so factor in another grand. You’ll have to retune for E85 and 93 each time as well. Not to mention the fuel system upgrades for E85. There’s definitely a snowball effect.

Technically, to take full advantage of e85 you’ll need to change the pulley too. 2018 Mustangs running 93 are making 700-750, while pullied up mustangs running e85 are making 900-1000. It’s ridiculous.

If I buy a new truck with "flex fuel" capability do still I have to upgrade the fuel system if I want to take advantage of an E85 tuned Wipple?
On my supercharged Z I can change the tune with a couple of buttons, does Whipple have the capability to store multiple tunes? 91/93/E85/valet

Whipple won’t tune for E85. You have to go custom and no, your stock fuel system can’t support a pullied down Whipple on E85. You’ll need a pump booster or drop in pump even with a 3.5” pulley on 93. And you’ll need to verify with your tuner that you can safely run a 3.5”. Most I see are sticking with the. 3.625.

They’ve been dropping hints about flex fuel Whipple tunes on the mustang board, but I wouldn’t hold your breath for that in a f150 kit.

Is it safe and worth the extra cash to go with the Wipple Stage 2? If I read correctly the warranty is only a year. What's the ratio of people that go with Stage 2?

Stage 1 3 year/36K miles (very limited from what I understand)
Stage 2 I believe is 1 year/12K miles with the same stipulations

I think the Stage 1 warranty costs a few hundred, I don't know if there is any charge for the Stage 2
