Default Exhaust cut outs

I have a 2019 5.0 f150 wanting to know if I need to tune the truck if I install a cut out before the resonator

No tune would be required for that. Anything after the cats won't requirea tune.

Bigger question is, will you gain anything doing this? Could be $100 wasted.

I was going to do the cutouts on each of the down pipes for a no restriction approach but since they wouldn't be used all the time I wasn't sure how to tune for this - I'm guessing 5 Star could suggest something since that's whose tune I run.

I heard so far you loose low end torque but gain hp on the high end

That is true, I had one on another vehicle (top end gained about 10t/15hp) but the tuning on it wasn't like these trucks. I would imagine after the ECU learned it would pull back any gains made.

You would basically be doing it for sound not performance. No tune necessary.
