Default Did my first road trip with the blower.

1000 miles round trip from Houston to NE Oklahoma the last 2 days. Ran 80-85 the whole way up and averaged 19.5 on that leg. Truck ran flawless...ect stayed about 190 and Trans stayed about 195. Played a bit in Ok...took a few friends for rides and flogged it pretty good. Came back home today and fell into a triple digit line of cars south of Dallas for almost 40 miles. ECT stayed rock solid at 190 but trans temp got up to 203 which is nothing.
All in all I’m super stoked. I carried tools, coolant and an extra belt just in case but never needed any of it.
That was kind of the shake down run for driving Route 66 in its entirety in a few months.

That's great to hear...Especially the fuel mileage.

Nice! Must not be much in the way of parasitic losses on that blower when cruising. What kind of mileage did you get at 80mph before the mods?

Thanks for sharing. Before the blower install, were you getting similar mpg?

Odd - I towed 5000 miles with a 5000# trailer across the Rockies and back and my mod list never crossed my mind, well. other than the intake noise. I guess that's why I roll Nitrous.

If you’re happy filling a bottle all the time I’m happy for you. I prefer to have power all the time.

I raced a mid-8 second Mustang for a few years as a hired shoe...was always glad it was someone else filling all the bottles and messing with it. All I had to do was strap in and drive.
