Default Building a 5.0

OK hopefully we can have a little fun with this. If you could build a 5.0 anyway you wanted and price was not an option what would you all do. I'm kinda interested in this and to see what it mentioned.

5.4 block, sleeved and stroked to 400 cid, 10/1 compression, gen3 heads with dual injection, voodoo cams, twin turbo. Any other questions?

Basically an MMR billet block with aluminum rods and forged pistons and a dry sump for consistent perfect oiling.

Definitely not poo poo 10:1 compression like mentioned above, this is 2019, you can run 13:1 compression with 30-40 psi nowdays with the fuels around.

My goal has always been max power on true pump gas (not even e85). I’ve always wondered how much boost we could get away with at a more boost-friendly compression ratio. I’m running 15 psi on 12/1 and 93 now. Imagine what you could run at 10/1.

You get more torque and better throttle response with compression. I don't much care about what it is capable of on pump gas honestly, because if i do anything i'm spraying methanol as the compensatory fuel or running e85.

We just made 1100 whp on a built k20 the other day on true 85% pump e85 @ 40 psi and that's a 12:1 setup.

Sleeved block with good rods and pistons and the other normal stuff, clean up the heads and use the Gen 5 Whipple. Make me a nice even 1000 at the tire on 93 and drive it every day.

It's going to be problem getting the power to the ground if we keep adding more horses. Dorian has proving that in his latest video, and he has a light RCSB.

He thinks it was his 8K shifts that did it in.

Looks like we now know what the limits of the stock transfer case are. Not too bad considering he's running low 10's with 800hp. Looks like he still has the stock driveshaft too...makes me feel better about mine.
