Default Boss vs Cobra Jet intake manifold setup?

I currently have the Boss 302 intake manifold with BBK 85 mm TB and JLT intake. I have the opportunity to trade this with some cash for a Cobra Jet intake manifold, gt500 tb and appropriate JLT intake. Has anyone had experience with both. Is this worth the effort and dollars?? I read one article showing the cobra jet losing less tq down low and gaining 20hp on top compared to the Boss but I would imagine I would need cams to spin it high enough to see those type of results.

In this test it looks to me like the cj beats the boss across the board, though not by very much. Also, it looks like the manifolds got the engine to make power up high in spite of the small intake cams.

I actually had both a cj setup and a boss intake and after talking to two tuners i decided to go with the boss. CJ will net like 5-10whp on a truck with gt cams on stock cams gain is less but driveability will suffer with that throttle body dont know why that just what i was told from both tuners.

I have also heard of tuners recommending the Boss over the CJ. As well as several folks switching from the CJ to a Boss and rarely/never the other way around.

mostly cost/gain ratio I think, but I have no personal experience with either.

Gotcha. My fear is, as my truck sits I wouldn't see much of a gain on this swap unless I added cams to rev higher. BUT this may not cost me much money at all.
