The '18 is rated at 395hp and has dual injection, larger displacement, it's a 2nd gen Coyote design.

Hows the 17 5.0 RCSB 3 mph faster then the Raptor when the 18 5.0 RCSB is only 3 mph faster then the Raptor? Now imagine if the Raptor was only 2wd and weighed 4,223 lbs and could hook up how fast it would be?

i own a Dodge Challenger RT and have raced it some but only 1/8 mile. Converting it to 1/4 mile the above time of 13.7 is pretty close, but my car is tuned with some mild mods and put down 370 hp to the rear wheels. I also think empty it weighs about 4000 lbs. My best time was in a D/A of about 1200 feet.

The “stock” 5.0 running mid 13’s? Good D/A and a good driver? I’m sure it’s possible but I would say that’s a exceptional time.

Yeah i know. Brain farted when i posted it. Was thinking about it as i drove to new orleans that night, "dang i posted the wrong horsepower lol"

By larger displacement i presume you're talking about the very tiny amount of bore difference? Because... it's still a 5.0 overall. It's also technically 3rd gen in the grand scheme of things.

The 10 speed works very well with the 5.0.

Custom tune is out of the realm?

Actually, the 2018 5.0 is now 395HP, not 385. Biggest help is the new trans though. Perfect for the 5.0.

Not out of realm, just hasn't been done yet. These Gen 3 5.0 trucks just started hitting the dealers a month ago.
