Default AFR/LAMBDA/LOAD tuning question

I recently received an updated tune from my tuner(non nitrous tune)I notice that commanded lambse at WOT is noticeably leaner on this newer version right at about .86 or 12.10 AFR, compared to his previous tunes which commanded lambse at .82 or 11.54 AFR. Looking over the tune at a very novice level, all else seems unchanged except Maf flow rate lb per min. And from my understanding that is a pretty darn good indicator of crank hp by taking the number and multiplying x 10. With the new leaner tune, I'm seeing peak numbers of 45.39 and with the richer mixture tune I would consistently see 48.5+, Spark advance and valve timing events were basically unchanged also. I would have assumed that leaning it out a little would have created more power. Am I wrong to have assumed this? The only other PID I notice that changed was LOAD, and I have no idea how that is factored in the tuning at all. If anyone would like to look over the logs and share any insight let me know.

11.54 for an NA engine is rather rich....that is around what I see with boost. For an NA motor, I'd expect it to be in the mid 12's at least.

I thought it seemed rich as well. That's why I'm intrigued as to why it at least appears that the "richer" tune is making more power...? I might try to get a dyno session in this week to see if the maf flow x 10 holds true. If so there should be a 20-25 peak hp difference in these tunes.

Both logs are for N/A - I do have a separate question about my nitrous logs, but I guess I'll save that for another day. One thing at a time, right...
