I doubt seriously it makes a bit of difference but for the 50 bucks I paid it definitely looks a lot nicer.

Probably, the stock snorkle fits the whipple airbox and the AFE snorkle fits the Whipple airbox.

I've seen some actual testing once you close the hood it blocks the scoop almost completely.
