Default 5 Star or Unleashed

I know there is a lot on here already but I’m a rookie to this stuff. Last week I upgraded from my 05 SCREW FX4. I had a Superchips in that. What I’m wondering is which tuner would you guys go with.

My new daily is a 15 Screw Lariat with the 3.5 in it. I’m going to do the resonated delete right away. Other than that I plan on a CAI down the road. I see Unleashed has a kit that includes the plugs,Tstat and tuner. I’ll be pulling a camper a few times a year other than that no major pulling.

Or do I just leave it stock? Thanks for any input.

A tune is great. I think you can’t go wrong with either. I personally use Unleashed and have no issues. Been tuned since 2018.

If I do upgrades along the way, can you get free updates?

As long as you buy the new parts from 5* or Stage3motorsports.com they will do revisions for free.

I've used both and am now running 5* and it's my favorite out of three different tuners.

When I ran the Unleashed I took it in for inspection and it failed the emissions portion because not all the status monitors were ready and I had been driving it with the tune for several months - my cousin also had the same issue.
The Unleashed tune was good and Torrie would always send revisions within a couple of hours.

3 different EcoBoost trucks now in about 8 years and I've tried multiple different companies, 5 Star is by far my favorite.

Speaking of tune ... I already have an sct x4 with their canned tune and it did great on the performance and towing tunes . Now if I relate from my experience with sct's tune for the crown vic they are ok but they are still no ,match compared to other tune you can get from shop that have more experience with the panther platform . I can only assume it's because there were not a huge demand for that type of car but I am wondering if sct did their homework with their tune for the f150 or once again nothing beats 5 star tunning ?

I have 5 star tunes on my 18 5.0
First ran a tank of 87 on the flex tune and it was a nice upgrade from stock.
Now im on the e85 performance tune. Its so much faster over stock i don't think i will ever go back to 87.
Customer service is A+ too.

I currently have my E85 performance tune loaded. It's the best. If you don't have it, get the Adaptive tune just in case you can't get E85. The Adaptive tune is my second favorite.
