Default 2018 Ram 1500 RCSB Hemi vs. 2018 Ford F-150 RCSB Coyote

All things equal and fair, which truck is fastest in the quarter mile? It's hard to find videos of these two equal trucks where it's a fair matchup. Usually one truck is slightly modded, or maybe it's 3.92 gears in the Ram and 3.31 in the F-150, etc.

With 395 HP on tap in both trucks, I assume it's going to come down to weight and transmission gearing/performance. However, the Rams do have a bit of axle gearing to make up for it. Would just like to see which truck is quickest in an apples to apples match up.

You know it just might come down to the better driver after all isn't a race about driver skill as well as machine.

I've seen Stock 16-17 5.0's beat stock Hemi's, so I think the Hemi is really in trouble for 18.

Video's I've found for 16 RCSB ram Hemi's are about 14.4 in the quarter. Same as my 13 was stock. 15-17 F150 5.0 RCSB run 13.8-13.9 stock, and the 18's are 13.4. Ram is currently losing by a whole second!

So the Ram with the 8-speed is a 14.4 truck? I figured they'd be a little quicker than that. They're torquey but I guess they're heavy.

Yes, they are almost 5,000 in a RCSB. F150 RCSB with 5.0 is 4,200.

Same guy that posted the 13.46 in a stock 5.0 also posted 13.42 in a stock ram rcsb 8 speed. However, the ford pulled over 2 mph faster trap speed, which indicates better power/weight ratio.

How much weight does four wheel drive add to the RCSB F-150? If I build a sport truck I'll go that route so I can hook up better at the track and use the truck in winter also.

With these automatic stock power trucks how do you figure?
