Default 2018 5.0 Whipple ran 9.9

A guy posted on a Facebook truck group that he ran 9.99 and backed it up with a 9.94. It is a 4x4, Whipple, 18#, Kenny Rempel tune, E85 with fuel system and it looks like Racestar wheels.

That's just absolutely amazing. Just 10 years ago or less this would seem just unimaginable lol.

On the mustang forum they are saying at something beyond 800 it starts to slip 7th gear, so the fastest ones have to work around that. There is one car running low 8’s at nearly 160 I believe running a stock long block and a10, but rumor is he’s broken a couple of a10’s.

THIS... And Dorian are the reasons I took the plunge with my 2018 Whipple build.... Cant imagine that much improvement over a stock Whipple setup... Bravo!

The truck made 790hp on the dyno. The DA was +3500. I guess we will see how the tranny holds up.

The the 10R80 has proven itself to be about as durable as the 6R80, which is a good thing, but I've always been more concerned about the transfer case then I ever was about the transmission. However I don't think Dorian has broken a transfer case yet, or really any other drive line component...which is amazing considering the 1.5* 60ft. I wonder if he has done any extra maintenance or modifications to improve durability on the drive line. I know he has traction bars....but as far as I know, everything else is stock.
