I sent Jeff an email at about 2 Central time to see if there was a new tune yet. I haven't heard back from him yet.

I take it back...I was doing several emails today...I sent it out right before lunch. Still quick turn around.

First drive with the new tune is very positive. The hunting on light throttle is gone. In normal mode smooth 1-2 shifts on very light throttle. On slightly more aggressive throttle, it skips 2nd and does a 1-3 shift, very smooth with no hunting.

When I was manually shifting with the paddles the 1-2 shift was HARD. Now it's much smoother.

I'm interested to see what other folks think of it.

Not sure how the power is, I'll do a little testing with the V-Box in the morning.

in my experience, the older tunes with the problems “learned them” started out great and worked to horrible.

I know...That's what I'm afraid of too. Yesterday I was doing some stuff to the truck and had the air bag of of the steering wheel so I had the battery disconnected for over an hour. This morning after that it was still really bad. I'm not sure if that clears the learning or not. Mine seemed like it was getting worse, perhaps it was more noticeable because of the louder exhaust now.

Jeff sent me the new tune before he left today. I downloaded it but haven't installed it yet. This last tune did start out ok and slowly turned to crap.

Hopefully this one does not do that.

This does seem different. The Tomahawk said 2 modules updated this time. I don't recall it saying that before.

Edit: I took a video of loading the last tune. I'll see if it said that on the Tomahawk.

Edit2: I reviewed the video from the last tune and it did say the same thing. From now on I'm going to record when I load a tune.

i beleave they know what the issue is, did this tune fix it? I will let y’all know.

the driving it like I do in the refinery daily, caused the flare to happen 100% of the time with the 1-2 shift. It usually starts out perfect after the tune flash, and flares once or twice the first day and starts to learn the bad habit and by day 7, I have to drive in rain/snow drive mode because that skips 2nd all together.

A guy just had a Roush installed on a 2018 in the build forum. He said it made 505/502. It must have some major torque limiting going on.

Seems like a lot of coins to drop when a good N/A tune could probably be making 450-475WHP on E85.
