Nice, I just ordered the Stage2 kit the other day. Will be going on a 18 F150 Super Crew Lariat Sport 4x2 with 3.31 gears.

By the time you get yours, they will have an updated tune for it. (Higher shifting = faster truck)

Something I think is worth repeating.

If you haven't spent 7+ days, topping off the intercooler fluid (takes me about 10 days or so), You still have air in the system.

The tank is always purging the air (breaks it into small bubbles - this is why whipple says to use the 2 bottles of water wetter) and that small amount ends up in the intercooler under the blower.

The next day when its completely cool and you take the cap off, and you will see it drop.

You may only be able to add a very small amount each time til it if full. Once its full you will not be able to add any more...

You cant just look at the fill tube and see if its low - due to where the air is trapped at.

That small about of air will cost you - 30 to 100hp and kill your consistency.

This is what a system with air trapped looks like.

The above was, on a slightly hotter day from the 640 pulls, but IAT temps were crazy high due to a large amount of air in the system (after opening it back up and not having it fully filled before the dyno)
and having the 5/8 barb on the inlet and 3/4 barb on the outlet.

It was not able to shed heat from the system as designed and heat soaking at idle, worst the longer it idled.

Same 3.625 pulley, Good fuel, No knock retard, but the system would not add timing.

Has whipple disclosed any info on the new cooling upgrade coming out for are trucks ? Like potential IAT drops with the upgrade an such.. Also any info on there revised tune like hp/tq gains from it. Possibly better mpg in town an what RPM shift points will be changed to

They have told me some of that information, but don't know if I have permission to say.

I'm not trying to make this a teaser situation.

But If even I knew 100% that I could say, I think I would still wait to see what the new tune did and the power it makes with my own testing.

Lets leave all the blind faith for the ecoboost community.

I don't know that the gas mileage part will improve with this tune revision.

This is just my opinion:

1. The throttle is too sensitive between 0%-25% throttle. (this is with the stage 2 big throttle body ). It's less stock like and more twitchy and all go go go.

2. The skip shifting in normal drove mode from 1st to 3rd needs some work and They need to add back skip shift from 3rd to 5th.

With those changes they would see 2 maybe 3 miles per gallon better around town.
