Why would it be different in the 2015+ trucks?

Different firing order vs. the Mustangs, the trucks use the old 5.0 HO firing order of 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 vs. the Mustang which is 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2

Very impressive numbers. I have a 2016 5.0L so definitely looking to do this mod. Thanks for sharing.

Default Whipple Power VS Roush Power & engine capability

I'm wondering why the whipple is producing so much more power at relatively same PSI compared to the Roush? I have a 2015 5.0 with a Stage 2 Roush blower with 650 to the crank at 12.1 PSI (built and tuned by Brenspeed), but putting down more like 550 to the wheels. If the Whipple is getting 600 to the wheels, that's 700+ at the crank. I wonder why they are getting almost 10% more? The '18 is only advertised at 10HP more stock than the '15. I have stock exhaust (super sleeper) so maybe that's the difference. My truck is pretty darn fast...so that whipple-powered truck should be even faster!

In case you are wondering....MONEY WELL SPENT (Maybe the best money I've ever spent) haha. Also...get the Raxiom vent gauge...LOVE IT! Has 0-60 times, boost, etc.

I've got almost 50000 miles on mine...maybe time to build one with the Whipple?

IIRC the Roush is 2.3l and the Whipple is 2.9. It just moves more air. Then the Gen 3 2.9 is 40-50 more hp than the Gen 2 at the same boost level. My Gen 3 will tag 15psi.

You can't really compare the 15 - 17 to the 18's though. The 18 is 12:1, DI/PI, the Gen 3 version of the Coyote, etc...

502 rwhp at 5000 rpm is 527 ftlb, which makes it stronger than the livernois test by about 20 ftlb. Nice!
