Here are the pieces they made to cover the openings on either side of the 10" center LED strip. This is the part that pissed me off the most.

Below was the exposed side. You can see the black goop on the bottom they used to attach it to the back side of the grill.

Admit, I'm being overly picky.
I don't think you are being overly picky at all. Being former military myself, I see zero attention to detail by them and lack of pride in their work. They should be embarrassed to even charge you for that type of work. You are justified in being pi$$ed given what these trucks cost. Then adding 1k+ on lights it is natural that you would expect that anyone doing the aftermarket work would have a professional fit, finish and warranty to back their work.

This looks like something a 12 year old would dremel out of plastic. I'm not sure I would want them doing anymore work on my truck to correct it either. You should just get your money back and run...

P.S. I'm also a Roush owner and I've been watching this thread to see specifically how this light mod would work out. After seeing the video I had high hopes. Sorry to see that it didn't work out the way you or I imagined...

Good luck!

You can buy all the lights as a kit from John Tischler from Roush Tischler Ford (he's the guy who made the youtube video). Check out his eBay for prices.

He also sells die cut vinyl decal / inserts that fit inside the ROUSH lettering on the front grill. Expensive and I screwed up the R and O installing mine after getting his advice via text on how to install them. Told him I fudged it up and would donate the u, s, and h to him but he's just sending me a whole new set. That's the kind of people I want to support. Told him I'd spread the word about his customer service as thanks.

You can text / call him at 1-317-796-8472 or info@roushvehicles.net if you're interested. I've texted him out of the blue a number of times and he always answers. Wish I lived close to his dealership.

I just didn't want to take off the grill. I can fix C S Motorsports wiring job. Am going to talk to John above when he is back in town next week about the plastic pieces that were hacked together. Might just get some thick kydex and make my own though or just leave it off altogether. Doesn't look bad without. Actually looks better without than with the hacked plastic C S Motorsports used.

Yea, John's kit that includes the pieces to fill the gap for the 10" bar were much nicer. They have a loop that goes around the Rigid light bar and that presses against the inside of the grill when the led is mounted in its cradle. Trischler may just sell you those pieces - it's worth asking. I finished up my wiring yesterday and am just waiting on the switch panel to finish drying. Grimm's told me to wait until this weekend before installing the switches. It's a dark silver carbon fiber look and comes close to matching the interior trim. FYI - he has a real carbon fiber panel coming soon.

I certainly have to vouch for John Trischler. I have texted him along the way and he has been responsive and more than helpful in answering my questions. I did the wiring myself and the only wire that I couldn't install with an OEM appearance was one wire going to the positive terminal on the battery. Everything else is zip-tied and spot on with the kit that John developed. I might re-route the one wire later, but wanted to test the lights to ensure everything was grounded properly and functional.

Funny about the grill lettering. I expressed to John that I didn't want to make a $90 mistake trying to install the lettering. Maybe I'll get the courage to try later
