Post a review, interested in how well the outlet works with the OEM clip retainer. KM

Finally got around to installing the Garrett Intercooler. Took about three hours. First impression was that it felt very solid and looked great, which was expected from what I've heard about the brand. Removing the stock intercooler and shutter shroud was the easy part. After that is where is got more difficult. Used a jack to help get the Garrett into place which I highly recommend. After a few attempts to align the brackets, it seemed it wouldn't align. After looking on Garrett's website I opened the directions and realized they were slightly different than the PDFs on websites such as Carid. The directions from Garrett's website seemed to be updated to include the Raptor and also the removal of the shutters. My guess is people were having trouble with fitment with only the shroud removed. I would say you could leave the shutters if you shave down some of the plastic edges. I decided to just follow the directions and remove it. Someone asked about the clip used from the stock tubing. Everything fit perfectly. I have a 5star 93 perf tune(highly recommended) and have done a few pulls. Everything has stayed intact.

Looks good. In the last photo, what is that black electrical plug for?

Thanks. Engine block heater to help warm up in cold weather. I've never used it though.
