Default 2015 5.0 Performance Cam?

Hey guys, wondering if anyone has some advice on the following.. I’m looking into getting a performance Camshaft Into my 2015 5.0 ...wondering what would be the best to go with, what would give me the best gains in the low to mid range area, wouldn’t mind if it had a bit of a lope to it as well. I’ve already done the air intake, exhaust and have several tunes. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

1...you have 4 cams.
2...you can’t make it lope with any of them.
3...most people are swapping in Mustang cams...look into those.

I think just the intake cams are different between the F150 and the Mustang, the exhaust cams are the same. It’s one of the things I’m thinking about swapping on my 2018 Build.

If you want a lope then get ride of your DOHC engine and get a push rod engine.

What they said. And none of the available cams will improve low end. The f-150 intake cam has 20 deg less than the mustang cam to enhance low end torque. Most people who swap the intake cams are willing to give up 10 ftlb down low to gain 35 hp up top. The gains are only over 5000 rpm.

There are some tunes available, on and off, that can make your truck lope with the stock cams. All they're doing is changing the center lines using the tivct to increase overlap, but all reports are that (as one might expect), fuel mileage and drivability go to pot.

To add to what everyone is touching on. You will probably not see low end gains with any of your options. Most will extend the power band out and let you rev higher. Expect to see gains above 4.5k or even 5k RPM's

More low end is only really available somewhat with a tune, and mostly with NOx or a PD blower.

Are the cams still different in the 2nd gen coyote?

I picked up tq lower in the power band with my long tubes... basically 20 ft lb across the board.

Yea but most people aren’t gonna drop $1000 for a little bottom end bump.

The 14 and earlier benefit from the mustang cams but the 15+ not so much.
