Default Question

I just took off my 20" sport wheels & hankook dynapro AT 275/55/R20 and will be selling them shortly. I would like to offer this to forum members first before I post to Craigslist, however I wouldn't even know where to begin in regards to shipping tires & wheels. Is it even logical to think i could do that?

Yeah, I've sold parts on here before so I am aware of the rules. I am just trying to decide if it's even worth posting on here considering how difficult it would be to ship them.

I've shipped wheel/tire sets before. They were for an S550 mustang and thankfully were just under the 70 lb fed-ex cutoff. I doubt the F150's would be, so that will be extra.

It's tedious to properly protect them during shipment. Double layered cardboard, shrinkwrap etc.

IIRC it was ~$130 dollars to ship 4 68lb 19" wheel/tires from TN to OH.

If you decide to do this, make sure you take them to a fed-ex or ups ship center/depot. NOT a UPS store type facility. They will gouge you.

Make sure to insure for the actual value in case you need to make a damage claim.

Also watch for latent charges. Fed-ex later tried to stick me with an oversize/weight fee but I had my original receipt and they relented and even gave me a discount when I complained.

Good luck!
