My girlfriends mom has an 97 F150 and the other day she said was acting weird. You open the door and the interior light flashes and the power windows dont work at all now. The top left soiloniod in the fuse panel inside the truck is clicking with the interior light.
She took it to a shop and they said the fuse panel needed replaced and it would cost over 500 bucks, that just doesnt sound right.
Anyone got an answer for this?

 

It's probably the GEM that has failed and its located behind the fuse panel under the dash. Its a $200 + part that is plug and play on a 97, just gotta match up to the vin number because there are about 6 options.
Do a search on GEM [general electric module].
