Hi,

2011 3.5L

I am trying to track down a whistle that occurs when I let off the gas. The issue seems to of occurred after I put on an AFE dual air intake. Do other users of the dual air intakes experience a whistle when letting off the gas?

I have put on Turbosmart BOVs which has not changed the issue, and I can hear them separately. I was thinking perhaps with the more open air intake I can hear the recirculate part of the BOVs and was thinking to go VTA. Also thought the small hole in the dual intake crossover may be making the sound, and maybe going bigger would help.

Any thoughts or advice?

Captain Obvious here, maybe turbos spooling down? Maybe.

 

Some times we need help with the obvious! Could be. Though I have not heard that with my other turbo vehicles. I appreciate the reply.
