Default When to do coolant flush

I have a 2008 5.4 with 52k miles on it. The Truck is 6 years old and still has the Ford Gold coolant in it, I think it's rated for 5 years , but is there a mileage rating? Also would you go back with Ford Coolant or can I change to Prestone?

If the coolant looks good and meets temperature specs (-35f), just add a bottle of anti-corrosion additive to the existing coolant according to the directions on the label.

Most anti freeze today is good for 100,000 miles, not certain what they used in 08.

Corrosion Inhibitors formulated in all Antifreeze /Coolant blends seldom last more than 2 to 3 years. Most of the supplemental anti-corrosion solutions currently available are priced at less than $10/bottle, including sales tax.
