Wheel Hop on low traction surfaces. Just get new bushings?
My truck (08 4.2L XL rwd manual) gets violent wheel hop on low traction surfaces (wet asphalt, dirt, etc.). It also under certain circumstances shakes on the highway similar to how it would if the wheels where out of balance. Do I just need to replace my rear sway bar bushings (is it the sway bar bushings or different bushings?) to eliminate the wheel hop and could the bad bushings cause a similar vibration, at speed on the highway, that an unbalanced wheel would? (the vibration only happens in the rear end)
Ive never spun the tires on high traction surfaces but I assume it would still hop if I tried to do a burnout on dry asphalt.
