I feel like an idiot. My 2007 F150 4.6 was dumping coolant. I found the problem (see pictures) but have no idea what the part is, to order a new one. A hose come through the fire wall and directly into this part. It is mounted beside and behind the alternator and looks to share a bracket/housing with the thermostat.

Coolant crossover pipe, looks like you will need to buy an intake. If that is rusted I can only imagine what the rest of that rust bucket looks like! Good luck and get some lube!(wd40)

It's a steel nipple pressed into the cast Aluminum crossover, which is part of the intake manifold. Shop Amazon/eBay/RockAuto/etc. for an intake, and you should find pics showing that nipple on it.

I would grease up a tap, to contain the shavings, and put some threads in the intake. Then get some plumbing fittings to make a new T. But I'm cheap.

I second the motion. That would definitely be my first attempt at fixing that.
