Weird noise when starting engine?
Hey guys,
My 5.4L 2002 F150 with 220k miles has been acting up recently. Half the time when I turn on the truck, it makes a pretty bad squeaky sound that kind of sounds a misfire. No check engine light comes on but it sounds kind of bad. Also I noticed for a v8 5.4L, it definitely isn't acting like one. Kind of sluggish. The MPG is pretty bad to; I get about 290 miles on the 25 gallon tank it has for combined city/highway.
Any thoughts on what is going on guys? Im a low voltage tech and my truck is my work space so I really can't afford it taking a **** on me in the middle of the job. Thanks guys.
