Vcm 2 alternative
What other devices is compatible with IDS or FJDS I tried buying a clone vcm 2 didnt work then i bought play genuine vcm 1 but dont have a cable to connect it to a laptop and the cable almost cost as much the unit itself so another words I'm tired of wasting money I just want a device that works with IDS or FJDS to reprogram modules

Hmm, no experience with a VCMI. I have a VCMII and it came with two usb wifi interface chips for pc connection. For a usb cable it uses a standard printer style cable. USB type A to USB type B.

Familiar with Forscan? It's a free software program you can d/l and use a simple obdii/usb cable with any pc. It's still in beta as it has been for several years now but you can do some programming with it. As in programming asbuilt data when replacing modules. You can even tweak settings to make things like remote start work etc that you can't do with IDS.
