Default V Power Circuit Problem

Hi all, I am new to the forum and I am having a problem with my 09 F150. A few days ago all of the warning lights on the dash turned on and the radio and headlights went out. I drove another block and the truck died. I took it in to the Ford dealership here in Albuquerque and they did an update to the computer and said that should fix the problem. It drove fine for 1 day and then did the exact same thing. Now the dealership is saying it is a bad PCM and the replacement cost is $1,000. Has anyone else had this type of problem? A little background, the truck has 56,000 miles and two weeks ago I took it in to have the rear bearings replaced under the power train warranty. Of course I am not too happy about this situation and the timing seems a little too coincidental to me. Any advice or similar situations would be appreciated. Thanks!
