Default Two problems.

Hey folks,
I have two problems with my 04 lariat, the first being that it gets the stuttering stuff when it I'm at about 45-60 and try to accelerate. I've researched that problem and it seems like an ignition coil? The second problem I have is my passenger window wont go up or down from the driver side. It works on the passenger side but not the drivers side, I'm not sure what could fix that? Could be a loose wire in the door? Should I try and replace the master switch on the door?

For me, replacing the spark plugs fixed my stuttering / bucking on light acceleration between 45-55. I did not need to replace the cops and have had smooth operation for the last 20K miles.

Not sure about your window issue, but it does sound like a switch problem. At least the door switches are pretty easy to get to...

Good luck.

As far as your window goes, pull the door panel and check the wiring from the switch through the door into the truck. Sometimes wires stretch or break in that part of the wiring. If no tears or breaks, then the master switch needs to be replaced on your drivers side.

I'm not sure I could handle changing the spark plugs or not, I know it can be a pretty difficult task.

I'll give removing the door panel a try and peaking at the wires.
