Default Turn Signal Issues

I’ve been having some issues with the turn signal. First the wipers stopped working and the left and right turn signals would only work if I hit the signal a certain way. Only one of the wipers settings also works and I have to push the switch against the steering wheel for it to work. I went ahead and replaced the turn signal but the issue is not resolved. I noticed the two torque screws that hold the switch were just spinning and not tight. I tried a slightly bigger and longer screw but it appears the turn signal is not making contact with the piece behind it in order to function. Not sure how to get a screw to thread and catch. Any solutions or if it’s easy to replace whatever the turn signal makes contact with?

Explicitly identify what you are working on. We're not psychic.

Check to see if you're running any codes. They may need reset...specifically I ran a B132B and all bulbs were good. Cleared the code and flasher worked fine. May also consider checking the flasher relay.
