Turbo Chirp
2016 3.5L EB Lariat
so I’ve had this issue for awhile now, but now it’s getting worse. Usually, upon startup in the
morning, I hear the chirp, but now, every time I accelerate, I hear it way more. At first I thought it had something to do with the serpentine belt, but now me thinks differently. Can someone confirm that it is the turbo?

So I took the truck to the Ford dealer expecting to have a turbo replaced for this issue, but they said that it was "normal." They handed me a bulletin from Ford Motor Co that explained that many of their turbo equipped vehicles have this sound, but is considered normal. I have to be honest, I'm relieved that I'm not out $2k for a turbo replacement, but on the other hand, this sound is extremely annoying!
Short of replacing the turbo, (and hoping the sound doesn't develop again) is there anything whatsoever I can do to quell the noise??

What you're hearing is probably a manifold leak, not a turbo chirp and its not normal. Exhaust manifold leaks are pretty common on these, mine is going in for this reason soon.
