I have a 2005 F150 Lariat Crewcab. About 18 months ago, I went to engage the 4x4 switch on my dash because I had start to lose traction while driving on wet grass. The 4x4 had always worked fine, but the light would not come on and the 4x4 wouldn't engage. I tried doing this again while traveling 35-40 mph still to no avail. My father seems to think that it is the switch that has gone bad, but I'm struggling to find a replacement part online. I'm wondering if somebody can give me their opinion on what is wrong with it, and if they know where I can find a replacement part. I've always heard that getting the 4x4 worked on is very expensive, so I'd rather try to do it myself. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
