Trons gone wild
Hey guys,
New member here, I seem to have lots of electrical gremlins and I'm hoping they're connected. If not, hoping for insight as to the causes. They are below:
1) Left brake light and center overhead brake light stopped working intermittently. I changed the bulb to the overhead light and that took care of the issue, at least for now. I switched the left and right tail bulbs and now they both work as advertised.
2) The parking brake light on the dash started illuminating intermittently and not going off once the brake was released. I solved this issue by replacing the switch, op checks good for now.
Issues 1 and 2 happened within a week of eachother leading me to believe there may be a common cause like over/under voltage/frequency or something.
3) When I have the interior lighting dial turned on to illuminate the instrument cluster lights and the radio, the overhead cabin lights remain on as does the bed overhead light. I work around this issue by leaving the instrument lights off.
4) I have B2292 seatbelt pretensioner fault, B1869 Airbag warning indicator circuit high resistance and B1318 Battery voltage low codes.
Issues 3 and 4 have been ongoing for some time now and one of them manifests itself as 5 sets of 5 beeps every 30 minutes that the truck is running. Annoying and probably unsafe. Any thoughts ya'll may have on solving these issues would be much appreciated.
